As Managing Director, Jan has led Modscape from its founding to become a leader in the modular construction industry in Australia.

Jan’s passion for sustainability through design and modern methods of construction fuels the Modscape brand, values, and capabilities. He is involved in daily operations, overseeing all design, operational and business development matters. His extensive experience in the construction and architecture field also brings a solid understanding of complex projects of scale and strategic thinking – lending out-of-the-box projects to Modscape’s strengths.

Jan is also a founding member of PrefabAUS – an industry association set up to promote and develop the prefabricated construction industry in Australia.

Scott has over 20 years experience in tax compliance, business process and financial reporting.

Leading Modscape’s finance and accounting duties, Scott delivers financial services including accounting, reporting and budgeting, and oversees organisational policies and legislative compliance. CPA qualified, Scott initially joined Modscape back in 2016 as Financial Controller, and brings a broad range of experience and capabilities to the group.

With over 20 years in modular construction, Josh brings high-level expertise to our team.

Josh oversees all aspects of Modscape’s pre–construction process spanning both commercial and residential sectors including procurement, project management and consultation, production management and sales management. Josh is passionate about the evolution and growth of the modular space – both locally and internationally.

If it’s a dwelling, Lewis is on top of it, managing every project from the factory floor to handover. As a morning person, he’s often the first to arrive each day, ensuring everything runs smoothly. And while he’s a die-hard Collingwood supporter, we don’t hold that against him.

​​​​​​​​What’s your role at Modscape and what do you love about it?

I’m a Project Manager, which I love thanks to the diverse range of project Modscape offers – from bespoke architecturally designed homes to complex commercial projects, right across Australia.

What inspired you to start a career in the built environment?

My dad worked in the industry, so from an early age I had exposure to all facets of construction and my passion grew from there.

Any advice you would give to anyone starting out?

There are a lot of talented and experienced leaders in the industry. I’ve always found the best way to improve and grow is through observing how these leaders operate and incorporate that into my own day-to-day role.

Most memorable project you’ve worked on so far?

The current project we’re undertaking with our client, Qbuild. Modscape are assisting the Qbuild team with an ‘uplift’ programme, which aims to upskill trainees and apprentices in QLD and further promote the benefits of modern methods of construction in Australia.

Would you rather meet your ancestors or descendants?

Ancestors. I recently signed up to ancestory.com to find out about my family history which spans back to the early 1600s in Northhamptonshire, England.

What’s the best concert you’ve been to?

Embarrassingly, the only concert I have ever been to is for Drake in 2019 – so that would be the best!

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?

Moreton bay bugs, brioche rolls, and Kewpie mayonnaise.

With over a decade of experience, Kumar steers Modscape’s design team in executing large–scale commercial projects.

As a registered architect, Kumar is highly skilled in design coordination, technical detailing, and standards compliance. He provides invaluable modular design advice to both external architects and Modscape clients alike.

Shaun McMahon brings over 20 years of experience in construction, from a Civil Engineering degree, to Tier 1 building and client-facing roles.

Shaun is a results–driven leader and excels at driving improvement, managing change, and boosting team performance. His broad expertise is a cornerstone in Modscape’s growth and excellence.
